俄罗斯剧作家安东·巴甫洛维奇·契诃夫在27岁写下《天鹅之歌》，是根据自己的小说《卡尔卡斯》（Kalkhas）改编的，1890年1月19日上演于圣彼得堡的亚历山大剧院。

传说，天鹅在垂死之前会发出它这一生最凄美的叫声，把一生对美和湖水的依恋化为最后的绝唱，也许是因为知道自己时间不多了，所以要把握这最后的时光，将它最美好的一面毫不保留地完全表现出来。

Yin Qi Festival Choir and Orchestra presents Mozart’s beloved Requiem this July, under the direction of Caeleb Tee, joined by soloists Ho Chi Mei, YiLing Chaing, Solomon Chong, and Mak Chi Hoe. The concert also features Mozart’s Symphony No. 40.

Fa Abdul is a playwright, director, columnist and a TV scriptwriter. Her works are Malaysian flavoured, filled with human elements and cultural relevance.

In 2013, Fa won the Best Educational TV Programme award at the International Science Film Festival, Germany. In 2016, she represented Malaysia at the Asian Women Writers Festival, Singapore. She has also received several awards for her involvement in theatre - the Mercedes Benz Creative Excellence Award (2015 & 2021) and the Kakiseni Boh Cameronian Award (2016).

Fa believes storytelling is a powerful tool in encouraging dialogues on prominent issues that ties us together as a society.

Sidhart Joe Dev is a passionate video producer hailing from Penang with a keen eye for storytelling, he has been actively involved in creating captivating short films, commercials, and mini-documentaries. Armed with a degree in Film & Broadcasting from Universiti Sains Malaysia, Sidhart has dedicated himself to being a full-time video producer. His expertise extends to producing and hosting talk shows, conducting political interviews, and curating engaging lifestyle shows and podcasts.

Sidhart’s versatility shines through in the realm of local theatre, where he has made an indelible impression as a writer, director, and actor. The theatre community has recognized his contributions, particularly in his involvement with renowned plays such as A Streetcar Named Desire, Antigone, and Bollywood musical Rab Ne Bana di Jodi.

Sidhart ventured into the bustling Kuala Lumpur art scene with his participation in Joe Hasham's You, Me, and The Big C in 2022. In the same year, his outstanding work in the SHORT+SWEET Theatre festival earned him accolades across diverse categories such as Best Actor, Best Director, Best Production, Audience Choice Award, and Mercedes Benz Creative Excellence Award for a play called Trash. 

In 2023, Sidhart appeared in Fa Abdul’s monologue series His Story and Theatresauce’s They All Die at The End, an all-Indian male ensemble show exploring Indian masculinity, identity, and family history. Later that year, Sidhart was seen as Sultan Mahmud Shah in the modern retelling of Jebat by Joe Hasham. In a recent review, Malaysiakini Press hailed Dev's performance as unforgettable, describing him as a 'narcissistic, egomaniacal Sultan Mahmud Shah' whose portrayal perfectly balanced the otherwise brooding and serious tone of the play. Dev's interpretation of the character as a larger-than-life comic book villain added depth and intrigue to the production.

Sidhart made a triumphant return to the SHORT+SWEET Theatre Festival 2023, showcasing his talents as a writer, director, and actor in the play I’ll Be There for You. The production received great reviews and garnered significant acclaim, ultimately earning accolades including Best Newcomers, Best Production, Audience Choice Award, and The Creative Excellence Award. Sidhart's performance and direction were recognized with awards for Best Actor and Best Director, further solidifying his reputation in the theatre scene.

In 2024, Sidhart is set to take on a significant role in Fa Abdul’s poignant production, Leela Jhansi, a compelling narrative exploring the hardship of a child bride. Additionally, audiences can anticipate his involvement in Twisted, a whimsical kids’ theatre show by Big Nose Productions and KLPAC that presents classic fairytales with a unique twist.

His journey began at the tender age of 7, plunging himself in the world of theater, before transitioning into short films thereafter.

Will she be taking her final curtain call as 'Dadima' (grandma)in Fa Abdul's "Leela Jhansi?" She also featured in Fa's "Tales from the Bedroom" (2018), and "Short 'n Sweet" 2017 production. She was last seen in Jay Menon's "Memes" (2019). The doyen of Malaysian theatre, the late Krishen Jit, once told her, "Never give up theatre. It's in your blood." This inspired her to continue treading the boards...

 Monica is an avid reader who finds immense pleasure in watching stories come to life, especially on the theater stage, which she believes is the most immediate way for one person to connect with another's humanity, as eloquently stated by Oscar Wilde.
Monica has been part of remarkable productions, such as Tales of Mamak 2016 ,  "My Dark Sister" by Fa Abdul and "The Plague Upon Your House" by Penang Players, under the direction of Jay Menon.
She has  been a part of the "MEME" a musical teather where she was a part of the singing team. She has recently acted in a Spice and Curry production "parvai etrar- Blind) and Ektiar  2023 and "My Journey , My Way"  in 2024

颜永祺属于舞台综合能力较强的创意导演，除了导演、编剧、音乐创作、舞美设计，颜永祺也是一名杰出的导表演老师，擅长用俄国斯坦尼斯拉夫斯基的表演体系、美国“方法派”体系、即兴喜剧表演法等手段进行表演教学，教学经验长达18年。他至今编导了近五十部舞台剧作品，获奖无数，是首位在中国获得戏剧博士的马来西亚人。2022年，颜永祺被评为“中国当代小剧场戏剧40年”最具影响力导演。

陈立扬是一名马来西亚演员，曾参与多部电影、电视剧和舞台剧，同时也是本地著名合唱团 Lavoce 团长，学校话剧班的助教，活动主持人，翻译员等多重身份。陈立扬的演艺生涯从话剧开始，自身散发的光芒、清新独特的文青气质、自然且有张力的表演，让他成功在第 11 届戏炬奖荣获最佳新人奖，引起圈内圈外极大的关注。2015 年，他获邀演出本地艺术电影《出走的时光》男主角，正式跨界当影视演员，参与多部跨国合作的影视作品。2018 年，陈立扬凭舞台剧《北京人》一人分饰四角的精湛演出让多位前辈与观众惊叹不已，并以此获得第 15 届戏炬奖年度最佳男配角 。合作过的导演和艺术家有高志森（香港）、吴昱翰（中国）、郑建国（马来西亚）、杜雪芳（马来西亚）、Dato’ Dr Faridah Merican（马来西亚）、Joe Hasham OAM (马来西亚）、颜永祺博士（马来西亚）、陈伟昌（马来西亚）、郭䞇豪（马来西亚）、颜永祯（马来西亚）等等。

Tan Li Yang is a Malaysian actor who has participated in many films, TV dramas and stage plays. He is also an acting coach, host, translator, president of famous local choir La Voce Choir.

Li Yang has his own contagious, fresh and unique literary temperament. His natural and tasteful performance has successfully garnered him the Best Newcomer Award at the 11th Asli Drama Award (ADA), causing a great swirl and attracting attention in the art and entertainment industry. In 2015, he was invited to act as the lead actor in the local art film "Hold Me Tight", and that helped broaden his horizon and since then he started taking part in films and television dramas. He has also participated in a number of large scaled international films and television works which were filmed in Malaysia.

In 2018, he was nominated as the Best Leading Actor and Best Supporting Actor (two nominations) in the 15th Malaysia Asli Drama Award (ADA) with his exceptional performance in the stage play "Peking Man", and he finally won the Best Supporting Actor award. He is the only actor to be nominated for three acting awards simultaneously in ADA so far.

Li Yang has worked with some of the most famous and talented directors and artistes, namely Clifton Ko Chi-Sum (Hong Kong), Yuhan Wu (China), Adrian Teh (Malaysia), Dato Dr. Faridah Merican (Malaysia), Joe Hasham OAM (Malaysia), Dr. Deric Gan (Malaysia), Chan Wai Cheong (Malaysia) etc.

Li Yang has also worked with some of the most renowned and talented local and international actors and actresses, namely Michael Miu (Hong Kong), Bosco Wong (Hong Kong), Annie Liu (Taiwan), Maggie Cheung (Hong Kong), Alex Fong (Hong Kong), Huang CaiLun (China), Celina Jade (Hong Kong), Carmen Soo (Malaysia), Jordan Voon (Malaysia), Pearlly Chua (Malaysia) etc.

Malaysian Conductor / Composer, Caeleb Tee, was raised in Bentong, Pahang. He is active in the local sacred music scene, leading numerous church choir in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur area. He is currently the Artistic Director of Yin Qi Music, led Yin Qi Choir and orchestra in numerous performances such as Haydn’s Mass for troubled times, Handel's Messiah, Dubois’ Seven Last Words of Christ, and “Glorious Nights of Hymns II”. He has founded Caeleb Tee Music and the newly established 12-tone Ensemble. His production "Love and Strength United" became one of the recipients of The BOH Cameronian Grants for New Productions 2022 by Kakiseni, in which he conducted Prokofiev’s Piano Concerto No.3 and Beethoven’s Choral Fantasy.

As a composer, Caeleb have had compositions and arrangements performed by Yin Qi, BachFest Malaysia, The World Association for Chinese Church Music, Hallelujah Oratorio Society, Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra, Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre String Orchestra, Rivermont Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Westminster Chinese Music Ensemble, and Westminster Community Orchestra. He is also currently lecturing part-time at Sunway University, specializing in Music Theory.

Caeleb holds Master’s Degree in Music Composition from Westminster Choir College (Princeton NJ), and Bachelor’s Degree in Piano Performance from Liberty University (Lynchburg VA). His choral work “For I Know The Plans I Have For You” won the Westminster Choir College Commencement Anthem Competition, and was presented during the Class of ’17 Commencement Ceremony at Princeton University Chapel. His piano work “Four Bagatelles” won the 2016 Andrew Phillips Award. When Caeleb was at Liberty University, he won the Aria & Concerto Competition, and performed Rachmaninoff’s Second Piano Concerto with the Liberty University Symphony Orchestra. He has also received both the Senior Pianist of the Year 14-15 Award, and Outstanding Musician Award from Liberty University.

YiLing completed her honors degree in Vocal and Operatic studies in Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, UK. She won several competitions and one of those awarded her a full scholarship to further her postgraduate degree in Kodály Institute of Liszt Academy, Hungary, She graduated with first class with the title of Kodály expert. She is currently a graduate research assistant in a local university for her doctorate degree. YiLing’s presence is celebrated in many operas, especially in several lead roles like Hansel and Gretel, La Voix Humaine and Carmen. Her performances and masterclasses given set her feets in England, Hungary, Australia, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, Myanmar and Malaysia. Her contribution to culture and music has been awarded with PJM from the Yang di-Pertua Negeri Pulau Pinang. She carried her duty as adjunct lecturer of Fairview University College, Sunway University, ASWARA, UCSI University, and currently a full-time lecturer at UiTM.

Chi Hoe Mak enjoys a varied career as an award-winning choral conductor, singer, adjudicator and clinician. He is currently Artistic Director at Young Choral Academy, Artistic Director and Conductor of the Penang Philharmonic Chorus and Resident Chorus Master for Kuala Lumpur City Opera in Malaysia. He has won many awards and prizes with his choirs and engagements have taken him to Australia, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Myanmar, Philippines, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, UK, Vietnam and throughout Malaysia. As a singer, Chi Hoe is a Principal Artist (bass-baritone) at Kuala Lumpur City Opera where he has sung numerous operatic roles, and enjoys a versatile career as a concert soloist and consort singer, working with many diverse Malaysian ensembles such as the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Bachfest Malaysia, The Wicked Music People (Early Music Group) and The Song Weavers among others. Chi Hoe received Master of Music degrees in Voice and Choral Conducting, both with Distinctions from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in the UK, where he studied with Henry Herford and Gordon Sandison (voice) and with Paul Spicer (choral conducting), and was named one of Birmingham’s ‘New Generation Artists’ in 2008. He won all the major conducting prizes including the 2009 and 2010 Michael Beech Conducting Awards, the Principal’s Prize, and was the first Asian conductor to win a conducting fellowship to work with the London Symphony Chorus in 2010 which launched his conducting career. Chi Hoe is co-founder of the Malaysian Choral Eisteddfod (MCE) which is a leading national and international choral festival in Malaysia. He is a member of the IFCM Asia-Pacific Choral Council and has been conferred Honorary Membership of the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (HonRBC), for his outstanding contribution to the profession.

AJIQ BAKARUDDIN is an actor and vocalist. He started his journey as a performer in pantomime since high school. He graduated in Bachelor Degree of Theatre from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Raja Lawak was his first theatre performance. His theatre credit includes Short And Sweet Penang (2019), Once Broken Consider Sold, Pegawai Khalwat, It's Not Complicated, Sudirmania, Teater Tivi, Cik Mon Datang, Sebelum Matahari Merajuk and Rumah utuh for Pesta Teater Runcit (2023). In addition to his theatre career, he also active in music scene as a vocalist and involved in film productions as talent and prop master. Recently, Ajiq has been part of the Feminin Theatre play for Pesta Anugerah Revolusi Teater Indie (Pesta ARTI) which won the competition, and personally Ajiq has been nominated as best supporting actor for his role in Feminin. In addition, Ajiq also nominated as best male actor for Pesta Teater Runcit 2023.
